Joining the waitlist means we'll email you about the FocusMirror beta and launch. We use your email only for that — see our Privacy Policy. Joining is free, creates no purchase or obligation, and you can unsubscribe anytime from any email.

Any founding-member rate or early-access offer we mention is an offer, not a guarantee — availability, pricing, and timing may change. These waitlist terms may change; the current version always lives here.

FocusMirror is operated as a sole proprietorship by James Mbualungu, based in Virginia, USA ("FocusMirror," "we," "us"). By creating an account or using FocusMirror, you agree to these Terms. You must be at least 16 and able to form a binding contract. FocusMirror is for one individual — you.

FocusMirror is one personal time ledger shared by a macOS app, an iPhone app, and the web. Mac can turn privacy-safe app and domain activity into workday suggestions for you to review. iPhone lets you deliberately account for the rest of your day; it does not read Screen Time. The apps turn your record into time blocks, summaries, and calm recommendations. Beta features may change, break, or be removed.

Accounts are single-user. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

You agree not to:

• · Use FocusMirror to observe anyone but yourself. It is a tool for reflecting on your own work. You may not deploy it to track, surveil, or evaluate any other person, and you may not install or run it on devices or accounts you don't own or control. This is the product's whole reason to exist, made contractual.
• · Resell, sublicense, or share your account.
• · Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code, except as the law allows.
• · Interfere with the service's operation or security, or use it to break the law.

FocusMirror offers Ledger for free and Operator for $9.99/month or $79.99/year. Sovereign is planned at $19.99/month or $179.99/year, and Founding is planned at $199 once for lifetime Sovereign. Sovereign and Founding are labeled Coming soon and are not sold until their release criteria are met. Legacy Stripe subscriptions keep the access promised when they were purchased.

Trial. Every new account starts with 14 days of Operator access — no card required. When it ends, you keep Ledger; nothing is deleted and nothing charges silently.

Renewal & cancellation.Paid subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled. Mac and web purchases are processed by Stripe; iPhone purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store, with RevenueCat used to synchronize account access. One purchase unlocks the same tier on Mac, iPhone, and web when you use the same FocusMirror account. Subscription changes must be made through the store where the purchase originated and normally take effect according to that store's rules.

Cancellation & refunds. Manage Stripe purchases in the FocusMirror billing portal and contact FocusMirror support about Stripe refunds. Manage App Store subscriptions and request App Store refunds through Apple. Apple, not FocusMirror, decides App Store refund eligibility.

We never see or store your full card number or Apple payment credentials. If we change prices, we'll give notice and changes apply according to the originating store's terms, not retroactively to a completed period.

Your data is yours. You can export it as JSON and delete it at any time. How we collect, use, and protect it is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is part of these Terms.

FocusMirror's software, design, name, and marks belong to us. These Terms grant you a personal, non-transferable license to use the app — not any ownership of it. Your data and the words you type remain yours.

FocusMirror is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. During beta especially, we don't promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any reflection or recommendation is accurate. It's a mirror, not advice.

To the fullest extent the law allows, FocusMirror is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it arose. Some jurisdictions don't allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.

You can stop using FocusMirror and delete your account at any time — which deletes your data. We may suspend or end an account that abuses the service or breaks these Terms, including the no-surveillance rule.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Virginia, unless your local consumer-protection law gives you a different right.

We may update these Terms. We'll post the new version here and update the date; material changes get notice before they take effect. Continuing to use FocusMirror after that means you accept the change.
