One account on macOS + iPhone

Download FocusMirror for Mac and iPhone.

Track the workday automatically on Mac, complete the hours that happened away from it on iPhone, and review one private ledger across both devices.

Mac · private automatic time tracker

Track your workday automatically.

FocusMirror lives in your menu bar and turns permitted app names, domains, and timestamps—not content—into reviewable work blocks and one useful daily recommendation.

Requirements

What you need

  • macOS 14 (Sonoma) or later
  • Apple Silicon (M1 or newer)
  • There's no Intel or Windows build. Windows and Android are planned; the iPhone app is available now.

Updates install themselves quietly — FocusMirror checks for new versions on launch and applies them on quit. You'll always be on the latest build without lifting a finger.

Install

Three steps

  1. 1
    Open the .dmg
Double-click the downloaded file to mount it.
  2. 2
    Drag FocusMirror to Applications
Drop the app into your Applications folder, then eject the disk image.
  3. 3
    Launch it
FocusMirror lives in your menu bar — there's no Dock icon. On first launch macOS shows a verified-developer prompt; click Open.

FocusMirror reads which app or site is in front of you — never your keystrokes, screenshots, window titles, or full URLs. It's a private ledger for your hours, not employee software: there is no boss dashboard.

For iPhone

FocusMirror for iPhone

The deliberate half of the ledger. Attribute your day in calm increments, start an Observe focus block with an intent, close the books, and receive one honest recommendation.

FocusMirror records the ledger entries you create. It does not request Screen Time or Family Controls access and does not block apps.
